had tubes tied 2006 and in 2008 had a little boy. my cycle was normal. then i got my tubes ties in jan 2009, but since my cycle has been not normal and always has been. i didnt have it for 9 weeks and had it for 5 weeks i went back on birth control- low estrogen, but they dont work. i was put on tri- cyclen and it worked for 4 months but now once again i have not gotten my period, what is wrong?

Hi Samantha
I am sorry this is happening. Have you contacted the doctor who did the procedure in the first place.
On the Feminist Women's Health Center web site they say this as a possible risk of tubal ligation: "Some women report having post-tubal sterilization syndrome. The symptoms include irregular and painful periods, mid-cycle bleeding, or no periods. While some physicians believe there is no evidence that this syndrome exists, others believe more research should be done."

I would get your hormone levels checked and see a doctor who understands how to treat this.
