I had a baby almost three months ago..Went to the dr with bad pain in my upper right side , was told it was gallstones and needed to see a surgeon to have it removed which is fine but while waiting for the dr to call with an appt. I had a few episodes and went to the er with really bad pain they gave me a urin pregnancy test and they said it came up positive but really faint line... I have been on the pill a month after i gave birth and for a week in the beginning i was taking 3 pills a day to stop heavy bleeding under dr care, following month i had to do the same... Could I really be pregnany or can it be a false positive because of the gallstones or taking such a large dose of the pill..I have a dr apt later in the week for an IUD but i am no where even late with my period yet.. The hospital said i am really, really early is this possible?

It doesn't seem likely that you would be pregnant, does it?

I don't know if you've made the doctor doing the IUD aware of your circumstances, or not. You can at that time, request to be test for pregnancy. The blood test is slightly more accurate. Then you will know, since they won't want to put the IUD in if you are pregnant. Also perhaps, you can make them aware of the pain you have been having and what has taken place with regard to it.
