i started having sex with a new guy about a month ago and about a week ago i've just started to get this pastey dark brown discharge. i don't know what it could be, but i'm not due to get my period for another week and it started a week ago. if anyone could help me out that'd be greatly appreciated because i am now freaking out wondering if i got an std from this new guy...

Q: ive been getting very dark brown, pastey discharge from my vagina. what could it be?

Sometimes in between menses cycles you will see some discharge that is dark brown. That is the most innocent medical explanation. If it persists (meaning several days) you may find that it can also lead you into a normal menses. If you find that it happens again next month, I would get checked out by a Gynecologist.
