Jemima, I cannot follow your time line.  Could you give the datees when your last period started, the dates you had sex, and the dates you were bleeding?  I presume you used no birth control when you made love?

Hi Jemima.  It sounds like your Jan. 3 lovemaking may have been a day after you became fertile.  A woman can conceive for up to about a day after she ovulates, and becomes fertile.  I'm counting 14 days from the start of your period on Dec. 19.  That would put fertility at Jan. 2.  If you are not already carrying a baby, I'd suggest next month making love more than once around your fertile time.

Your brown discharge doesn't sound like a normal period.  It could be implantation bleeding.  If so, that means that you bleed a little bit a few days after you got pregnant, when the baby attached to the inside of your womb.  So, unless you have started your period by now, its possible you could be pregnant.  I suggest doing two things.

One, take a home pregnancy test in a week.  Two, make sure you make love and get lots of your lover's seed inside of you during Jan. 27, 28, and 29, in case you just had a light period.

Good luck.

Hi Jemima.  You might consider getting a basil thermometer to check your morning temperature as you get up.  Your body temperature will rise about 1/2 a degree when you are fertile.  This might help time your lovemaking better, and also tell you if you are ovulating at all.

Hi Jemima:

It looks like your next fertility date would be February 22, which means lovemaking during Feb 20, 21, 22 and 23.  How cooperative is your lover, and how often is he willing/able to give to seed?  I'd try for each day this time.

Have you considered getting the basil thermometer and taking your body temperature each morning?  It can tell you when you are fertile.  You may be fertile at a slightly different time than the standard 14 days before your next period starts.

Looking back, you would have been fertile on January 25, so lovemaking the day before would have given you a good chance.

Its possible that your fertility window is real short, perhaps as short as hours.  If so, you may actually have to make love on the day of fertility, and even within a specific portion of a day.

Keep trying Jemima!

Hi Jemima:

It sounds like you are in the period now, but that it started a little bit early.  That doesn't seem like a problem.

It also sounds like you 've had a vaginal yeast infection or something and are on antibiotics.

Its good that your doctor is doing the sonogram.  This may tell you if you have a fertility problem, and if so, what you can do to reduce or end the problem.  The sonogram isn't anything to fear.  It doesn't hurt.  Its like an X-ray, only better.  It lets them see your female parts.  When are you going for the sonogram?  Good luck.

Hi

I am going for it today itself, today is 3rd day od my period.

One more thing i want to know, I am a coffee drinker, I usually have 2 cups of a coffee everyday, Can it harm my fertility ?

Hi Jemima:

About coffee, I've heard of studies that say caffeine is bad for a woman trying to conceive, but good for a guy.  2 cups a day I doubt would make a difference one way or the other.  I don't know how much stock to take on it.  You might search the internet for articles, but beware not all may be accurate.

How did your tests come out?

Good luck!
