I'm a male in my late 40's with some odd neurological issues (tremors, double vision, odd sensations, and memory problems.) I'm being tested for "possible Multiple Sclerosis" but not yet diagnosed, though I do have white matter lesions on my brain.
Several times over the last eight months I have had an unexpected erection while working, sitting in the doctor's office, shopping, basically anywhere - with no obvious reason. At least twice I felt a sort of internal twitch first (prostate area). This was followed by an almost full erection and discharge of pre-cum.
I'm happily married and don't mess around. I've had prostate screening and two digital/rectal exams over the past six months with nothing unusual found.
This is really embarrassing. I'm worried it might be related to neurological issues. What do you think?

Thanks, this is helpful. I haven't mentioned it to the neurologist but I will at the next appointment.
I'm familiar with the MS site. It's an excellent resource. In researching my concern, I found a similar question on the MS site from a woman with MS who was having a weird sensation that she described as the steps leading up to an orgasm. I also found a few scholarly reports on line at other sites mentioning that the areas of the brain sometimes effected by MS lesions control sexual response. It seems that my problem is rare (or at least not often reported) among MS sufferers though.
Thanks for your help.
