Q: I want to now if it is possible to have one test show up positive for herpes and one negative?

I want to now if it is possible to have one test show up positive for herpes and one negative? Can it be spread through saliva alone? How long can one have it and not know they are carrying the disease? Also can a person be tested and the results ar negative and still be infected?

It can happen which is why we often say you should get the test and then the "control test" as well.  You can have active disease even when you don't have a rash or pain.  Yes it can pass through sexual contact and oral contact.  Read up more on this site.
