To be 100% safe in terms of not harming the baby - she should probably elect to have a C-section. Some obstetricians will monitor a patient closely and if they seem to be "lesion free" at the time of delivery - may allow a vaginal birth. I personally would err on the conservative and cautious side and choose a C-section method of delivery.
