Q: I'm getting abnormal periods for 4-5 months.I get brown discharge instead of my period and then after 15 days, normal period comes. Now every 15 days, i get either brown discharge or period.please help

I consulted a gynec and had a blood test and ultrasound done. But nothing seemed wrong in both. The doctor had no explanation for what is happening with me than the casual"may be hormonal imbalance" answer. We are trying to conceive and i am totally at a loss as to how to calculate my ovulation time!

Hello Tiara

My first suggestion is to find a new doctor.  This doesn't seem normal to me and you need to know when you are ovulating so that you can become pregnant.  Are your hormone levels what they should be?  Have they tested to see if you are ovulating?

How long have you been trying to get pregnant?

If it has been more than a year then you might want to seek the help of a fertility specialist.  If you are over 35 and you are trying to conceive I would recommend that you seek the help of a specialist much sooner.

Let us know what you find out.  Good luck to you.
