Q: is there an actual worm that is sexually transmitted other than trichmoniasis?

is there an actual worm,  that is sexually transmitted, that attacks the spine, brain and nervous system?  I am curious about this because of a condition that i am suffering.  no one seems to know what it is, I am trying to distinguish whether it is something contracted from the drinking water at my house or something my ex-boyfriend passed on to me, considering that he had numerous problems that he had long before he met me.  i started having brain seizures for no apparent reason, nasty headaches, and nerve problems. I've been going through this for a couple of years, i've been to several doctors and no one knows what it is.  i'm positive that is a parasite of some kind, i can't tell however if its my nerves that make me feel like i have worms moving through my muscles, or whether i actually have worms. i wake up several times in the middle of the night because it feels like something is actually moving through my spine in my neck, then i get headaches that feel like i have a concusion. i get very tired very easily, and have spells upon waking where i can't talk, i have brain seizures when i'm driving, and while i'm sitting in class.  i have been to four different hospitals, the doctor's don't seem to care, or they treat me like i'm making it up because they can't figure it out. i'm afraid for my life, and i really don't think i can take much more of this.please help, any information is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried at least one Neurologist? I have no idea why you are experiencing such problems but a number of neurological diseases can cause the body to experience things which aren't really there. MS and a number of others can give the sensation, at times, of some things you describe. neuropathies, often give off sensations of burning, intense itching and stinging though nothing is visible.

I'm not saying that you have anything specific, but I think if I were experiencing what you are talking about, I would start seeing neurologists. I really can't see picking something up from treated water, as far as an STD, I don't know of one which passes something you describe. I have watched stories from The Animal Planet of picking up such things in foreign countries, so anything is possible.

Switch physicians if they are being dismissive, but after doing all the tests that can be done and nothing is found, then I would guess there is not too much more that can be done. Good luck, don't give up, these feelings are real, just that the brain can play a role in making us feel things which are really caused by our own body.
