Q: I'm 43yrs old peri-menopausal

I'm 43yrs old & haven't had my period for 4mths could I be pregant?My family Doc says no it's early menopause,but I have pregancy symptoms,Heart burn swollen breasts,frequent urination,swollen abdomen.By the way doc's urine test came back negative. What should I do?

You don't seem confident with this doctor. Perhaps you can see a gynecologist or another doctor and ask that they do a blood test for pregnancy, which should answer that question.Or you can take a home pregnancy test yourself.

 

If you are not pregnant, you would still need to be examined for the other symptoms to try and find out why they are occurring.

You probably have researched perimenopause already, and it could be happening, here is a good site to read about that, if you haven't.
