since i had my baby girl 4mths ago i have not had a peiod! i am breast feeding is that the reason?

i am 28 yrs old i had my firs child at 24 yrs ol and my periods were normal i did not breast feed for too long . now i have a baby girl 4mths now and i have not had a period  yet but now i am breast feeding

Information indicates that you will most likely not have a period while breast feeding, depending,  on a few factors, like how often the baby breast feeds, how long the baby sleeps at night, if you began taking birth control pills and generally what is normal for you.

Breast feeding is not a reliable form of birth control though.

okay well first of all the baby breast feed about every 3hrs and bottle feedings about two times i n between (because she does'nt like the bottle too much)  and second is that she sleeps about 5-7 hrs at night. i am not using any birth control pills! i am using condoms though.

It's going to vary from woman to woman. For some more information on the process and what you might expect you can read here. It probably explains it better than I did.

 

As far as sex is concerned you wouldn't get pregnant when you're not ovulating, however, your body may decide to produce a fertile egg before you are aware of it and pregnancy is possible, that's what I mean by breast feeding not being a sure guarantee that you wouldn't get pregnant, as you will read in that article..
