Q: 3 days ago I went to the bathroom and I'm on my period so I'm used to having blood clots, but this blood clot had some flesh colored specks in it and I don't know what it is but now my stomach hurts

And it has been hurting since then but there have been no more blood clots that looked like that. I'm on birth control also. I know I wasn't pregnant so any idea what it could be. I had a transvaginal ultrasound about a month back and they said my ovaries and uterus were fine.
