Q: blood in clear discharge?

I am an 18 year old woman and I recently noticed that there were bright red spots in my discharge. It is not like period blood but more like regular discahrge with specks of bright red blood like fresh blood. I am not sure if i should be worried or not or what exactly is going on. Thank you

Hi i am 37 and this just happed to me a couple days ago, however this does not happen to me in the middle of my cycle so i'm a little worried (read info on ovulation).  BUT I have been having only protected sex using condoms with BF so crossing my fingers that this is body preparing for next the next period and not the next baby.

A slight lighter pinkish stop and go flow can also signal to the start of your normal period to come. If you have recently been sexually active be aware of when next period should start and watch for it.  Don't panic though as this is not a sure sign of pregnancy.  There are other reasons for this, medical and nonmedical.

It could simply be our bodies cleaning themselves out.
