Q: Bump on inner thigh crease

I have this strange blister-like thing at the crease of my inner, upper thigh, near my privates. It is a bump and the center is red. It looks like it is bleeding, but there is no blood to the touch: it feels like a blister. It doesn't hurt to walk, but it only hurt when I tried to pop it (thinking it was a pimple). I was just wondering if anyone ever heard of anything like this or has any idea what it could be? How long should I wait to go to a doctor? Is this a cyst? Also I am due for my period soon (within the next 2-3 days). I am sexually active with my boyfriend and we get regular check ups. Also about a week ago, I shaved in that area. Bad idea?

Only a doctor's exam can tell you for sure.  I noticed exactly what you described on a few places on my body after I turned 30, and asked my doctor, because I wondered if it was cancer related.  He told me what they were, but I have forgotten the name.  Mine were not a problem, and I still have them.  It looks like a dried blood pocket just under the skin, so it has a raised texture.

Hey, I have this too and it is reoccurring in the same spot almost every other month (around when my period is about to start). Then at the end of the year it gets really bad and painful but pops. This is just (more than likely) a cyst. That what mine was. What you should do is put an antibacterial cream on there as much as possible and be careful when your having intercourse because you don't want it to get infected. :)
