Ovulation discharge or implant spotting?
My last period was on Oct. 26 (i had to cx a pap due to starting) It lasted 3 days which is normal, no problem here. Now Today on Nov 13 (18th day of cycle and that would be 4 days past ovulation window) Today i wiped I had the "fertile" thick/stringy egg white discharge Only it was tinged pink and had quite a few blood clots. With two wipes it was gone and nothing since 12 hours ago. I then stuck a Q-tip up there to see if it was pink/red which would let me know that i was starting to flow but it was clear. But this was definatley not "period blood". My boyfriend and I had sex with a condom ( like always) this past week on Sun, Mon, and Tues (the ovulation window right around the 14th day). I think it was on Tuesday that he suddenly "literally" jumped up off me and finished outside of me, which he has never done before. I said what are you doing? He answered i didn't want to get you pregnant. He is very small down there and Im wondering did we use too much lube and he could feel it sliding off and could I have possibly gotton pregnant? My next period should be starting around the 26th of this month. I'm very nervous because I had the brown implant spotting for a day with my first pregnancy just like the books say, a week after ovulation. But this was clear/ pinkish with clots and gone with two wipes. Any thoughts?
Hello there
I know this must be very worrisome to you and you have given this much thought and analysis. All I can say is...anything is possible. This web site on ovulation has this to say about ovulation spotting:
"The trace amount of blood that may appear due to the rupture of the follicle will not be red (like menstrual blood), but will rather exhibit a brownish or pinkish color. For example, you may see just a faint streak of pinkish blood intermingled with cervical fluids during your daily CM check."
But then again...implantation bleeding can be similar. But the implantation bleeding would occur later and you say that you had the other signs of ovulation.
Nobody can tell you if you are pregnant or not over the Internet. If I would place a bet I would say no but...I am neither a doctor or psychic. You may just have to be patient and wait to see if your period comes.
If you are worried you can always contact your gynecologist to see what they say.
Good luck! If you can let us know what happens.
