Q: help please with birth control question asap!

Okay so I started birth control two sundays ago. But just yesterday, my boyfriend and i were having sex and the condom broke. He pulled out as soon as it broke, and he didn't ejaculate. I have only been on birth control for about 9 days now. On saturday i took the pill late, but i've resumed it at a normal time on schedule. Is there a great possibility that i may become pregnant?

remember: -no ejaculation happened -on bc for 8 days -pulled out as soon as it broke

Hello Rosie

Well first I must applaud you for using birth control. I know you must be anxious over this but I am thinking that things will most likely be okay.

Please know I am not a doctor.  Anything is possible but from what you are describing it does seem very unlikely that you would get pregnant.  There can be sperm in pre-ejaculate so there may be a small chance for pregnancy but I would not worry excessively about this.

Should you miss your period, then it may be time to take a home pregnancy test.

If you have major concerns you can always contact your gynecologist.

Thank you for your question.
