Hi, I am a 19 year old female, I have no children. I've been obese most of my life so my periods have always been kind of irregular. Lately they seem to be getting more on track until this past month. I was on my period, and normally there is 'at least' four weeks between periods, and I started another period barely two weeks later. The bleeding is pretty heavy, heavier than my normal period, but other then that I'm experiencing no other symptoms. I don't have health insurance so I can't go to a doctor to get checked out. I just want to know what's wrong with me, If anything. I am sexually active but we do use contraception so me being pregnant shouldn't be the issue. please help me?  livygurl3@yahoo.com - i'd love any and all help.

    Hello

I know this must be anxiety provoking for you...and then you also do not have insurance so this complicates matters.

I am afraid to say though, that if this is anything serious you will need to be seen by a doctor.  There are free clinics you can go to.  Here is a list of free clinics...just plug in the state where you live.

Know that I am not a doctor but you may need to be treated for what is causing your irregular periods.  The reasons can range from stress, weight gain or loss, ovarian cysts, or more serious causes.  So please do find a clinic and get in to see a doctor.  There is no way for anyone to tell you what may be causing this over the internet.

Thank you for your question and I wish you the best of luck.
