Apparently, according to this article there have not been enough studies done to report the therapy as being safe. The article states that one possible benefit is an improved sexual desire. I think, that would depend on the individual and how their body reacts to the therapy.
At the end it lists possible benefits and possible risks. I'm afraid like so many drugs, we each have to make a decision regarding the level of risk we find acceptable.
