There are a couple of articles I can refer you to. One is here at Health Central dealing with possible causes for bleeding between periods but some could apply. There is another article from the UK which might give you some information too. I think if it is not due to the changes you have been making with the pills, and I think that is why this is happening, then you may just have some fibroids or another common ailment.   Seeing the doctor is the absolute right thing to do, I do wish you the best at your appointment.
