An analysis of national data has discovered that Americans who suffer frequent mental distress are more likely to be without health insurance than those who live with chronic physical diseases. In the study, investigators found that 22.6 percent of those who experienced bouts of mental distress were uninsured, compared to 17.7 percent of those with frequent bouts of physical distress.
