Scientists have developed a blood test that can tell the sex of a fetus as early as the seventh week of pregnancy. The new test was 100 percent accurate in predicting fetuses' sex in a recent study of 200 pregnant women in the Netherlands. The researchers say the test will be especially useful in cases where safely determining a baby's sex is important for identifying or managing inherited, sex-linked medical conditions.
