Two new studies at the University of Oklahoma have found that statins such as Crestor, Zocor, and Lipitor may help people who suffer from hepatitis C. In both studies, researchers found that hepatitis C patients who took a statin showed improvements in liver enzyme and sustained viral response levels more than those who did not take the cholesterol-lowering meds.
