Impaired Fertility

Two new studies have linked obesity and diabetes to male
infertility. In one study, researchers found that obesity
dramatically decreased the amount and quality of a man's sperm. In
the other, diabetics were found to have sperm that appeared normal
but had genetic damage that could impair their ability to fertilize
an egg. Researchers from both studies suggest that the rise in
obesity and diabetes mirrors falling fertility rates.
