FDA approves single-dose Plan B contraceptive pill

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a single-dose version of the Plan B emergency contraceptive medication. The drug has been available in a two-pill dose, but can now be taken in one dose. The drug's maker says the new dose also will be available to 17-year-olds without a prescription. Read more »
