Irregular Pap test linked to higher cervical cancer risk

Swedish researchers say that not having a Pap smear taken regularly is the single greatest risk factor for cervical cancer. Scientists studied 1,230 women with cervical cancer and found that those who were not tested regularly were more than twice as likely to develop cervical cancer. They were also more than four times as likely to have their cancer discovered in advanced stages of the disease. Read more »
