Symptoms

Type A usually begins in the first few months of life. Symptoms may include:

  • Abdominal (belly area) swelling within 3 - 6 months
  • Cherry red spot in the eye
  • Feeding difficulties
  • Loss of early motor skills (gets worse over time)
