Daily sex improves men's sperm quality: study

Men can produce healthier sperm and improve their fertility by having daily sex, an Australian study has found. Researchers enrolled 118 men whose sperm had higher-than-normal DNA damage--between 15 percent and 98 percent DNA fragmentation index (DFI)--at the start of the study. The men were then told to have an orgasm every day for a week. When the men’s sperm was re-assessed at the end of the week, scientists found that 81 percent of the men had an average 12 percent decrease in their sperm DNA damage. And while there was a significant drop in the men's sperm counts over the course of the week, researchers said the numbers still fell within the "normal" fertile range.  Read full story >
