HIV is #1 killer of women worldwide

Officials at the World Health Organization (WHO) are reporting that HIV is now the top killer of women ages 14 to 49 worldwide. WHO experts say of 30.8 million deaths related to HIV-positive adults in 2007, 15.5 million were women. Africa has the highest prevalence of the virus, with six percent of women of reproductive age infected with the virus. Read full story >
