Study shows effectiveness of 'women's Viagra'

According to a new industry-funded study, an antidepressant called flibanserin that didn't work well to treat depression may have a better use in helping women who have low sexual desire. For their study, researchers combined statistics from three trials of flibanserin, which together included 1,946 premenopausal women. The women took either the drug or a placebo for about six months. At the end of the study, the scientists found that daily doses of 100 mg significantly improved the women's symptoms of low sexual desire.
