I have had a lesion on my nose for a few years...first dermatologist did a biopsy and freezed my lesion...biopsy came out ok, but lesion stayed. Then I used efudex for 2 weeks... made my nose look horrible...still the lesion persisted. Dermatologist #2 had me do Levulan IPL & said if it was an AK this would "kill" it....lesion went through horrible look (like when I had done the efudex) but lesion on nose persists & won't heal completely.  Now Dr. says she wants to do a biopsy, curretage & then treat area with Aldara for 2 weeks.

I now have a red dent on my nose that doesn't ever seem to heal.  I'm very tired of having this on my nose (for years now)& nothing seems to get rid of it.  Should I go to another doctor (would be #3)& do the Mohs surgery?  Or should I try the Aldara & go through the slow painful embarrassing weeks again & hope it gets rid of it this time?

Need some words of wisdom & advice...
