The procedure was very quick, No more than 20 minutes total to remove a dime sized lesion. The only bad part was the burning from the numbing medicine. It was weird hearing all the noises because the cancer was on my temple about two inches from my ear and the smell from the cauterization was awful but brief. The surgeon was outstanding which eased my fears greatly, Dr. Paul Wirth. He said everything was removed and a follow up in a week to remove the stitches. I have to apply hydrogen peroxide once a day to the incision and apply a polysporin ointment and bandage. This morning I woke up with an awful headache and took something for the pain. Now this afternoon just a little sore. I'm glad I went right away and got it taken care of with a 99% chance of complete cure. I never had problems with sensitivity to the sun so I was surprised this happened. Its sunscreen and a floppy weaved hat for me. Scary, but the sun is stronger than it used to be, so the scientist says?
