Tuesday, October 02, 2007 at 11:51 AMHi Tracy,
Thank you for pointing out the emotional toll BCC can take. Having just returned to work following Mohs and reconstruction on the tip of my nose, I can readily relate to your experience. I was not able to be scheduled for surgery for 2 months after the original diagnosis and I can tell you that I was an emotional wreck during the waiting period. There is no way you can prepare for this as no one can tell you ho large the final defect will be. I wish you all the best and I'm so happy they are able to schedule your surgery soon!!!

Hi Tracy! My name is MK and I am the producer for this site. Thanks so much for writing and sharing your experience with our community.
I think one thing that many people don't understand about skin cancer is that it may not always be deadly, but it is very taxing on your emotions and your lifestyle. Thanks for pointing that out in your post.
Let us know how your doctor's visit goes...
