after mohs surgery

By tracy fisher Monday, November 05, 2007

i have now had my MOH surgery, i will not lie to you it has been the toughest thing i have had to do yet. however the surgeon and nurses are amazing. their were 4 patients and we each had it removed then sat together awaiting results, we were like a little family keeping each other spirits up. i arrived at 8 am and basically it took seven attempts to get all my bcc as it was very extensive. i was the last to leave at 7pm i bet the surgeons were tired but that it the way it can go! at least it has all gone!!

i was then transfered to another hospital for reconstruction, i have had a arm graft for my tip and a cheek flap for my nostril. as yet i am waiting to see if that has been successful. yes i look a mess and have had a tough week recovering but you need to focus on your inner strenght and fight all the way update again when my dressings removed

next step for me

Tracy is my best mate, shes such an amazing human being, shes stayed so positive throughout all of her treatment, she always looks on the bright side of things n never gets down, shes always shown me support even when ive been in the wrong like i said shes an amazing person, The weird thing is i found out a couple of days ago my mum has got bcc on her nose too, i phoned trace straight away knowing shed calm me down n tell me what to expect, i cant believe two of the most important people to me have the same cancer, what i do know is if my mum can get through this n come out of it like trace then i know ive got two very special ladys in my life, thanks trace i love you xx
