Vit D is the only vitamin my gynecologist recommends.  He says that with a normal diet you usually get the other vitamins/minerals in sufficient doses.  But he said to take 1,000 IU per day and that was all.  I tend to get out to the pool 2-3 times per month in the summer, with no sunscreen.  But I don't stay more than about 30 minutes.  And there is no sunscreen in my makeup.

Still, I do take Centrum Silver multi-vitamin, fish oil, and Vit C along with the Vit D each day.  I have never been able to "feel" any difference when I take them or don't take them, but they don't hurt and might help.  I don't need a calcium supplement because I eat a lot of dairy products.

My brother has had 2-3 skin cancers taken off his face, but he drove a motorcycle everywhere he went for years and just bought a new one.  I doubt that he wears any sunscreen.
