Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 08:08 AMI HAVE MELANOMA STAGE III CANCER, WITH 2 POSITIVE LYMPH NODES, I RECEIVED A TOTAL LYMPH NODE DISSECTION IN MY LEFT AUXILLARY. I NOW HAVE A RASH ON MY UPPER ARMPIT, IT CAN ITCH SO BAD SOME DAYS I CAN HARDLY STAND IT. THEN IT WILL HURT. IT IS ROUND PATCH OF RED ABOUT THE SIZE OF A MEDICINE BOTTLE CAP. I HAVE HAD IT SINCE MARCH, AND IT IS NOT GETTING BETTER. IT FLARES UP FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON. I HAVE NOT CHANGED DEODERANTS, LAUNDRY DETER. ETC... I WAS GIVEN STERIOD CREAM BUT IT MAKES IT ITCH EVEN MORE. COULD THIS BE A ONSET OF CANCER. MY ORGINAL CANCER WAS ON THE BREAST AS A NEW GROWTH
STAGE IV NODULAR VERTICAL GROWTH. PLEASE ADVISE IF I SHOULD BE CONCERNED.

Thanks for you post doctor. This is important information. Another poster asked a question regarding the aftercare of skin that has been treated for cancer (see post here).
Can you talk a bit about this for our readers and posters? I suspect most would feel this part of the "treatment" for their skin cancer.
