Aggravating Moles?

This may seem like an elementary question, but I have a raised mole on the back of my neck, right below my hairline.  Occasionally when I'm brushing my hair my brush will graze the mole and I feel a sharp pain.  Obviously I try to avoid it, but will this aggravate the mole/increase risk...
  1. good question

that's a really good question. i have a mole on my nose that i have asked my derms to look at from time to time. even though it's gotten a teeny bit larger each year (had it since i was in elementary school), they say it's no worry since it's not changing colors or developing an irregular border.

have you heard of the abcd(e) rule for moles?
