Here we go again!!!!!!!!!!!!

By ann10969 Thursday, March 01, 2007
I will embark on my 4th SCC Mohs Treatment on 3/3/07. At least this time it is not on my face, the arm and my fifth to be removed on 3/17/07 from shoulder. The first three surgerys were on my face. It seems everytime I have this surgery I am the youngest one in the room and Im 46. Most of the elderly men Ive encountered in the waiting room swear the concocted there skin cancer during WW2 (God Bless) in the south Pacific all Irish types like myself. Perhaps Ive picked a good day for my fifth surgery 3/17/07 St. Patty's day. All the Light Skinned Irish types will be at the bar or some other celebration and I will be in and out of there in a flash.

It seems like there are some new ways of treating skin cancer (non surgical & natural). ..
I found this informative slide show on skin cancer treatment. Takes about a minute to watch..

I don't know much about Mohs surgery, but I found this article that Dr. Berman wrote:

Thank you for posting the film loop, Molinda.  As a quick warning to other readers, the photos and images in the document can be quite vivid and graphic.

I am so glad you are getting your cancer taking care of... if they persist they only grown larger and more difficult to treat.  I have had 12 mohs in the past year including my face hands chest and arms.  I recently went thru the efudex cream chemo which has seemed to really help also with precancers.  I dont return for a recheck until 6 weeks ~ but I am interested in the curaderm bec5 if I have any remaining squamous cell spots.  I know I will have to stay on top of this problem the rest of my life.

I had cancer not quite a year ago now. I had a synovial sarcoma on my leg. And they normaly form around joints. I've just found a very painful lump on my arm ... just like last time. It's not for sertain yet but something deep inside me is just saying it is-here we go again. I'm scared out of my mind. I've faced it and won once before but now i don't think I could face it again. I'm 14. I hope it all goes well for you.
