    Thanks so much for your post strokeman.  It is true that the more education about melanoma the more likely people will protect themselves in the sun.

    Hey Sue thanks for your response. I get very concerned when i constantly hear of people that fall to this type of cancer. I am told that there is a very low percentage of reacurance of this cancer, but still worry all the time. Thanks for the prevention section I will pass that along.

    i just read your entry.  i am newly diagnosed with melanoma.  i am meeting today to have the site removed and the sentinel node thing done.  i am 36 with a 3 year old and 1 year old.  i am terrified of my children growing up without a mommy.  your entry gave me a little hope.  melanoma sounds so sneaky and invasive there is no telling what to expect.  i just want to raise my kids and be there for them.
