Should I be worried?

After Aldara Treatment

Going to Mexico

I had a squamous cell cancer removed from my upper lip 1 year ago. I had a Moh's procedure done- it was kinda scarey- but the area was very tiny. Anyway, I am going to a resort in Mexico with a friend who worships the sun. She keeps telling me I should get a "base" tan before we go, so I won't burn. This sounds contraindicatory to me. What to expect when having a biopsy?

I have a birthmark on the back of my thigh that has recently raised.  The dermatologist would like to do a biopsy.  She described it as a scraping that will not require stiches.  Can someone explain the process and will it hurt?  Also, I actually saw a physician's assistant and not the actual MD.  Is this common? ... Read moreChevron
