Q: I have a dark brown cross on my face, or mothers mask. Can I get rid of it?

When I was 4 months along my face started turnning brown. It is real bad, Like the t under both eyes and from fore head to chin. My son is a little over 2 now and I still have it. I have had several chemical peels and it always comes back. Can I ever get rid of it???

The melasma discoloration that some women get during pregnancy can be tenacious in terms of disappearing.  Maybe you need a laser series of treatments and I would discuss that with your doctor, since there are a number of avialable treatments now - or you might want to get a second opnion.  I would hope that the current treatment options can significantly lighten these areas.
