I have a dark brown cross on my face, or mothers mask. Can I get rid of it?

When I was 4 months along my face started turnning brown. It is real bad, Like the t under both eyes and from fore head to chin. My son is a little over 2 now and I still have it. I have had several chemical peels and it always comes back. Can I ever get rid of it???
