Category:blue spot

my 12 year old daughter has had a small blue lump on cheek (6 weeks) with a pimple on top. help

We are treating the pimple and it is going away.  The blue spot is spreading.  It feels about the size of a small pea.  It is not very painful.  She recently had surgery to remove several chalazions from both eyes.  She received injections in both eyelids (steroids) and has been on steroid eye drops for several months. It has an assymetrical outline.  This is really starting to worry me.

Hi Connie.  My best suggestion is for you to consult her doctor on what the spot is.  It could be part of the healing process of the blemish, the surgery, or the after treatment.  Unfortuanately, I was not able to locate information specific to answer your question.

All the best, sue
