HiI am respnding to your question about the mole on your leg, I am not a Docter or nurse but certainly can say I had a cousin that had a mole on his leg and removed,,,,he did have cancer and this was a type that spreaded thru his leg and body and six to eight months later he passed away, the family had ben told about this type of cancer he had so we knew he had a short life, just don't take anything like this for granted, please get it checked out,but my Dad and sister also had cancer and both in remission so Good Luck.

Hi Linda:

We have a great deal of information on the subject of melanoma.  Check out our material for reference before your next appointment.

As well, if you are that concerned I suspect with your history, your doctor may have you come in sooner.  It cannot hurt to try.

All the best, sue

My dermatologist didn't do a very thorough exam, what should I expect in an exam?
