Hi,  I was reading your comments about your top lip and it sounds very similar to mine.  The skin around my top lip started to change last year.  It became red and patchy, it looked as if I had been drinking my son's balckcurrent.  It is now brown. I finally went to see a doctor this year as people were talking to my lip instead of my face.  They tested the skin and said it was fine.  Although I have to put factor 50 on my lip area, this has gone even browner due to the sun.    I have been told that this area has to be protected constantly from sun exposure as the pigmentation will spread.  I have arguments with myself over it.  I can't see that its very healthy to put factor 50 on your lip everyday.  There are so many chemicals in sun cream.  I have always been very careful in the sun and use creams that contain a SPF15.  The skin specialist I saw couldn't confirm what it was, but put it down to sun exposure.  This started off as a little mark, but has grown over the last year. If you haven't been to see a doctor yet, I would.  The only suggestion the doctor could give me was to YSL concealer.  Unfortunately this doesn't come on the NHS!!!!
