Q: Tingling feeling 3 years after a pre-cancer spot was removed

I had a pre-skin cancer spot frozen off 3 years ago on my shin.  From out of no where that exact spot is now sort of tingling and feels funny all around it.  There is no mark or bump, only a slightly dry patch in the area where the spot was removed. Could it be coming back?

Hi there

Could the tingling be associated with itching or dry skin?  Unfortunately there is always a chance that skin cancer can recur so to be on the safe side, I would call your dermatologist or doctor to describe what is happening on that spot and get it checked out.

Please be sure to check your skin periodically for any new growths and also see your dermatologist for an annual full body skin check.

Let us know what your doctor says.  And thank you for your question.
