Could she have had another biopsy, What did they base the diagnosis on. I was wondering if I should have a second biopsy before I let them do surgery on me. Any answers for me

I had Mohs after a biopsy confirmed I had squamous cell skin cancer.  From what I've read, Mohs is not usually the method used on first time basal cell cancer, typically only if it has recurred.

I've had my fair share of quack doctors and it sounds like your mother found one herself.  I recommend she report this doctor to the Dept of Professional Regulations in the state where she resides.
