Our friend noticed 2 areas on her breast which resemble ringworm, she went to the doctor and she wouldn't give her an antibiotic just scheduled her for a mamogram, and then biopsy. She has a history of her twin sister dying from IBC back 5 to 6 years ago. Our friend is around mid sixties. and in relatively good health, she is still a full time employee. Needlessly to say she is scared there is no swelling and no other symptoms to date. Just this ringworm looking spot which now has 3 spots developed. Have you ever heard of this kind of presentation. I have seached for pictures of what IBC in the early stages looks like but haven't found any. Thank you for your time. Tomorrow she goes for her mamogram, and Wednesday to the surgeon. We pray that this is either a mistake or that it is being caught early enough to make a difference.
