Q: Left breast frequently itchy, top part of left nipple feels crusty (but looks normal)... cancer?

There are no lumps, but there is a random red spot close to where it itches.

This has been happening for about 3 months now, so I'm wondering if this is something to be worried about. I do not currently have insurance, so an visit to the doctor seems a bit out of the picture.

Hi Annie

There are free clinics you can go to. Here is a link which lists them by state.  I would hate for you to worry about this and the only way to know for sure what is going on is to see a doctor.

In the meantime I am going to give you the link to Health Central's Breast Cancer site so you can ask your question there as well.

Please do get this looked at somehow.

Thank you for your question.
