I've had six Mohs surgeries already & complicatioans w/4 of them, infections, dermatitis type reactions & am scared to death to keep going back to the same surgeon. Would like to know how to stop being so fearful. It's all I think about! Also would like to know if there are others out there who have such extensive coverage of melanomas that I can communicate with. Thanks in advance. Jean @jean.daniels@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for your question and sorry for the delay in response.  What I think I hear you saying is that you might want to find a second opinion or maybe a new physician.  It is so important to have a good communication with your doctor and feel you can trust them and their work.

As well, I think by posting to our site and asking questions, you are helping your self calm the fear by talking about your cancer.  Find a support group (maybe through your doctor your even the hospital or one of the national organizations) for others who are going through the same thing.

hope this helps.  all the best, sue
