I was able to find this information for you on our site:
The word "scleroderma" means "hardening of the skin" and refers to one of the possible physical effects of the disease.
Localized scleroderma is referred to as morphea or linear scleroderma and does not affect the internal organs. People who develop localized scleroderma usually do not develop generalized scleroderma.

Hope this helps, all the best, sue
I have Morphea I have had it since age 11 and am 45 and it is spreading all over my body, the frustrating part about this is the lack of information. I was told because I got this at a young age it would go away within 5 years well that is obvously wrong, this disease is just frustrating and the fact there is no cure really aggrivates me because I am tired of being doped up on medication for the pain.
